Magnitude
Thoughts On A Word

Introduction
I just felt I had to write something inspired by the word "Magnitude". Should it be a poem, or a story, or a thoughtpiece? I honestly don't know, but I thought I would let my mind wander around the word itself.

Thinking Of Magnitude
I think of Ice Giants. Uranus is an Ice Giant, and then there are other planets. Thinking of them is how a mouse must think of me. A human to a mouse or spider has a huge magnitude, as a planet or star has for me.
For some people, getting out of bed or climbing the stairs are tasks of great magnitude. For me, it is going on multi-mile walks. I don't run.
The word makes me think of sailing ship navigational devices and astronomical instruments, although I don't use it on a daily basis. It came into my head yesterday, and I wondered if I could use it as a prompt and it has resulted in this stream of consciousness.
I look at what is happening in the Middle East and compare it to a street misdemeanour amplified by great magnitude.
Conclusion
I suppose this has just been an interlude of madness on my part and am sorry for wasting your time, but thank you for your half a cent.

No, it's not a waste of time at all, Mike. It's a thoughtful sharing of great magnitude, no pun intended. Great pondering on the word there,
