It is Easy to be Happy in the Garden

It fills with good vibes

Yes, when I write,

pouring all my wisdom into words,

and get only a few cents, that hurts.

When people I know turn away,

because their motivation is not fulfilled,

it hurts a lot.

Some avoid helping, interacting,

because they are intimidated,

and feel small.

It hurts too.

Social and emotional beings that we are,

such things affect us.

Luckily, there are reasons to be happy.

When I spend time in the garden,

I feel deliriously joyful.

I fill fresh water in the birdbath.

I smell the garden roses,

and bask in the fragrance of star jasmine,

I look at the cheerful

sunflower, coreopsis,

collect seeds of the nasturtium,

remove the yellow leaves of arugula,

@Seema

and stake the vines,

harvest spring onion.

Wild migratory swallows fly over me,

the sky is deep blue.

the sun caresses my back.

It feels beautiful,

it is easy to be happy

Love this. Nature is a refuge for the artist and it rejuvenates. Having and tending a garden is like maintaining your own private retreat. Beautiful poetry.
