Independent Artist, 2woAM, Releases Full Moon
Shortly after midnight on January 18, 2022, a familiar notification blinked on my phone screen. It was an Instagram DM. It was my favorite type of message; a link to a newly released album. Because my friends are so incredibly dope, it isn't rare that a new song, track, beat, or project comes my way in the late hours, but this one was a surprise. I opened the link, added the project to my New New 2022 playlist, and immediately caught a vibe. The project, Full Moon from 2woAM, is a slow ride, and I know anyone who trusts my curation will fall in love with this one.

22Rich Has All The Tools To Become A Great Artist
Hailing from Hawthorne, California, a troubled and crime-infested neighborhood, 22Rich possessed a clear vision to make it out the hood. Growing up in the tumultuous environment that he did has assisted in shaping him into the hard worker that he is contemporarily. As well as the passing of his brother made Rich a stronger person and only motivated him more to push himself to where he needs to be and reach the top. The tough upbringing & passing of his brother that 22Rich went through shaped him as a person and artist. He is able to express overcoming tough times through his music. The number one life lesson that he has learned from his experiences growing up is not to vent and complain, instead people should channel their energy into positively pursuing your dreams. 22Rich’s music sticks out due to the uniqueness of it. He can dictate his music through his flow, rhythm, and lyrics. He looks up to mainstream artists; such as Michael Jackson, Jay-Z, Hopsin, and Meek Mill. All of these artists have had a substantial impact on 22Rich’s music. He is solely focused on getting his music out there and making a name for himself. 22Rich is going to continue to produce music that his listeners can relate with and derive inspiration from. The EP named “Still Here” released on November 24th of this calendar year. “Still Here” is his first six tracks since 2020. He promises that the EP is worth the wait and will consist of unique flow and creative beats in order to keep his fans surprised and entertained. He fully believes that the upcoming release represents his best work. His music does not target a specific segment or demographic of the population, his music pertains to people of all ages and genders. In order to advertise and get his music out there, 22Rich intends on utilizing bold, sound, and effective marketing strategies to catch the eyes of viewers. He is focused on getting his music out there in order to build a fan base. 22Rich is on the rise to stardom and has released hit songs that have gained exposure. His recent releases have added to his monument as an artist and he has received respect from those in the industry. What distances 22Rich from his completion is his ability to block outside noise from doubters and naysayers. He is able to deal with criticism very well and does not allow what outsiders have to say affect him. He is locked in and focused on working on his craft. He is not concerned at all about the criticism that comes from outsiders. 22Rich realizes that they have no impact on his music creation. He consistently brings that continuous passion and energy in order to enhance and further his career. 22Rich believes that his upcoming releases will gain even more exposure and viewership. He is ready to elevate himself in the industry and reach the next level as an artist. The inspiration and purpose of the upcoming release stems from recent life obstacles that really made 22Rich rethink his career. Throughout all the adversity that has come his way, he has been able to beat the odds and remain focused on developing himself as an artist. A noteworthy lyric from the release, “Let’s get it right, let’s get rich for life” and embodies the life he is pursuing with no hesitation. Overall, his music provides inspiration and motivation for his listeners. He is an artist that has big dreams and is actively pursuing them. His music relates to listeners that have those same high aspirations. Those who look to go out and chase their dreams. What went into the creation of this release was embracing his true mind and thoughts, being creative throughout the process. 22Rich foresees that the upcoming release will be a monumental statement and listeners will take notice. Kelfromvisions On The Rise
As a young adult being very into music, I am always seeking new artists and unique music. I then discovered a yung artist Kelfromvisions about a month ago as he is just starting to take off in his career. He is a 21 year old from Pittsburgh and he caught my eye quicker than any other artist at this age. I find myself constantly going back and listening to his music at all hours of the day. While listening to his music I can really hear the passion he has for it in his lyrics. Knowing how much effort he puts into each and every song only makes me want to listen more. He not only is a singer but has many other talents to bring to the table. Such as being a songwriter, entrepreneur, audio engineer and a CEO.

Virginia Artist Maxwell LeVan Gears Up For Debut EP Release
Maxwell LeVan is a reaction YouTuber and singer/songwriter. His first single "LOVE REAL" and his follow-up single "REMEDY" have introduced LeVan to the hip-hop genre over the past 6 months. Taking inspiration from artists such as Charlie Puth and Juice Wrld, LeVan has been crafting a mixture of melodic raps as well as pop-centered records. As the creator of his record label TL Records, Maxwell has signed 6 artists and grossed over 2.5 million total streams in 2021. Despite not releasing any music since July, LeVan has maintained over 5,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, and some of his artists, such as Nate McKenzie, boast nearly 20,000 monthly listeners as of October 2021.

Truth "The Summer"
For those of you that don't know this new artist, his name is Truth. His real name is Brandon Hack, a singer-songwriter and producer born in Toronto,Canada. Formerly known as "Lil Truth" the "lil" appeared to be removed from his stage name in early 2021. Now for the breakdown, I discovered this song on Spotify's Discover Weekly playlist where I instantly fell in love with his sound and message. His vocals in the opening moments of the song gave me Michael Jackson type vibes; "baby girl put it all on me, damn girl put it all on me, it's not a game but I'm going all in, I put my heart and my soul in it". It continues on to an amazingly catchy hook professing the comparison for his love with the summer and a special girl. Overall I can make the accurate assumption that he's a lover boy and the soulful energy pushed out in this song makes it an instant underground pop classic. He infuses radio pop along with rnb and hiphop elements that make him unique in this era of music. As soon as I began listening to this song I felt hooked like I found the next best artist. Sometimes as a listener we find that one song that pulls us in wanting more and more. "The Summer" definitely has the replay factor, it's not too long but also not too short; clocking in at a moderate 2 minutes and 56 seconds. It's the perfect song to have on your playlist at any time of the year including winter although it's about summertime. During the cold winter days many of us dream about the warmth of summer, so it's a perfect song to just kick back and either reminisce to or look forward to your next summer while dreaming away.

Kidd Ki is an up-and-coming alternative hip-hop artist who is already been making a mark in the industry and has been grinding every day as well as mixing and mastering his music to perfect his work as a recording artist. Ki’s most noteworthy single released on November 27th of last year and it was titled "Our City". He released Our City on all major streaming platforms and it got substantial recognition, over 80k streams on Spotify alone. The tumultuous and hostile environment that Kidd Ki grew up in has shaped his music into what it is today. Having many struggles through his childhood only motivated him more to push himself and others to be the best version of themselves they could be. Harping on these tough times in his music, Kidd Ki hopes to connect with his listeners. Looking to also inspire others with his music, Kidd Ki does a great job incorporating these life experiences into his lyrics specifically, talking about the trials and tribulations he endured. Each song Kidd Ki puts out has a real message behind it, as well as a story. This is a skill that many new school artists lack, but one that has separated Kidd Ki from his competition and makes his music all the more relatable.
