Meet Dane & Stephanie, Twins Who Make an Unbeatable Duo
Dane and Stephanie, twin siblings who harmonize together angelically, might be familiar to you from this season of NBC’s “The Voice.” Recently, I got to ask them questions about themselves, their careers, and their love for what they do. Dane and Stephanie are twins from Bloomfield, New Jersey. They are cousins of mine, and I can remember participating alongside them in sports, talent shows, and musicals. Both Dane and Stephanie have always shown passion in what they do, and is clear to see when watching them sing together. You can watch them sing on their YouTube channel or Instagram (@daneandstephanie). If you haven’t started watching this season, you can tune in NBC on Monday and Tuesday nights to watch!

An Interview With: Seungrae
To call Seungrae Kim a hidden gem would feel like a gross understatement. The hip-hop artist (one that has recently made the transition into the Korean music scene) is fresh and innovative; delivering his songs with a unique vibe, and drawing on a wealth of influences and styles with seamless success. Tracks like “Mama” feel old-school and raw, with the razor-sharp lyrics both easily digestible and perfectly intricate, whereas more buoyant releases such as “1969” are a lot more carefree, and have a completely different, but nonetheless brilliant colour to them.

Consciousness of Decisions and Their Solutions with K. Flay
As artists grow in their craft, their music changes. Sometimes it is an ever so slight evolution; sometimes the change crosses genre lines. Other times, that evolution brings about a pearl of wisdom that builds on experience. That last piece is what seems to have happened with K. Flay.

Episode ICT-002 and 3
I am ICT-Makavenna, a young Hispanic female rapper doing experimental and inspirational music, and I host my music on SoundCloud at the moment. The type of music that I am working on at the moment I call experimental hip hop/inspiration rap. I am inspired to make music that relates to society, that motivates my generation, and that gives a point of view from a young teen Hispanic female growing up in America, including the struggles, trials, and positive changes, achievements, and influences. This is part of my second and third interviews on YouTube.

Episode ICT-001
I am ICT-Makavenna, a young Hispanic female rapper doing experimental and inspirational music, and I host my music on SoundCloud at the moment. Interesting tidbit about me: I am part Salvadorian, part Mexican, and part German. I began really making music last summer when I was 13 years old. The first song I recorded was called "I’m Real." It was about me being real, but surrounded by so many fake people. It was about some issues I dealt with in middle school. After a year, I believe I am growing slowly with my music and my fan base. The type of music that I am working on at the moment I call experimental hip hop, inspiration rap. Of course, I make music that is fun and that I enjoy. But I am moved by so many songs and genres from so many different times in the history of music. I am inspired to make music that relates to society, that motivate my generation, and that give a point of view from a young teen Hispanic female growing up in America, including the struggles, trails and positive changes, achievements and influences.

George Thorogood - Interview
George Thorogood has been a staple part of my musical diet since I was a teenager. As this story recalls I first saw him as a teenager when I was on holidays on the Gold Coast. I saw him play numerous times since and a few years ago I interviewed him about roadies when I was making a TV show called Rock Soldiers. This interview appeared in InPress on May 17, 1989 and it was around his fifth Australian tour. It's just been announced that George is going to tour Australia again —and I guess me and Ruttsy will front up for another round...
