A marriage destined to fail
My father was a drug addicted alcoholic and my mother a battered housewife. I remember how anxious I got when 4 o'clock came around because I knew my father would walk thru the front door at any minute and only God knew what mood he would be in that day. If maybe that would be the day he finally killed my mother from a beating. My mother never did anything to get away from him, she just took each beating and stayed. At 5 years old I called the police because my father had beaten my mother so severely I thought he was for sure going to kill her. When the police arrived and asked if she wanted to press charges her answer was, "no." I remember something inside me breaking that day. I lost all respect for my mother and hated the feeling of helplessness that invaded me every time he hit her while I watched without being strong enough or big enough to defend her.

How To Manifest A Partner
I’ve always heard about people who believed the Universe (or God or something out there) would take care of them, but I never had that kind of faith. I grew up in the Church, but my father always said: “God takes care of the big picture. It’s your job to take care of the details.”

Men!
Do you ever sit back and think to yourself as a female, how do men survive without females? How the universe made the male gene so...well lets say unbelievably not functional without a female around. I say this because we females know that without a female in a males life, it makes it impossible for them to survive on their own. Think about it, without use around, they would not be able to find anything, think for themselves, do their laundry, cook a nice meal, etc.

2 Year Marriage
Me and my husband have been married for two years and been together for four years. Before we got married we did marriage counseling and everything seemed like we were going to be a perfect match together. Everything was so good when we were dating and even better when we got engaged. But when we said I DO it was the happiest day of our life. So our first year things started to become a problem like parenting. I came into the marriage with 4 children 3 of them older then his son and one was younger. So we had to do some compromising. My husband and his only son had a selfish side to them because it has been the two of them for a long time. Most people were shocked we were even getting married because they said he seemed like he was not the marrying type. But another thing we had a problem with in our marriage was controlling problems. He wanted our family to follow his every step and what he say about everything we do. But eventually we had a conversation and now we are better because he had to learn that my opinion matters as well and in order to make our marriage work.
