Soft Gingerbread Men
Yes, I'm watching scary stuff on Netflix and well, it's not really as scary as everyone was making it out to be but here we are. Halloween is coming and well, I wanted to use some more autumnal flavours to create a perfect soft gingerbread. We can all make a snappy gingerbread with tons of sugar and all of its very unhealthy. But, softer gingerbread creates a meltier flavour and has a little bit less sugar in it for those of us looking to cut down. There's some heat involved here and the chilling takes about an hour to do it properly. One thing that is pretty good though is that the cooling of the biscuits don't take too much time. I hope you enjoy reading this recipe as much as I enjoyed making it...

Strawberry Muffins: The Sweet Aroma That Brightens My Morning
One quiet morning, I grabbed a few leftover strawberries from the fridge, chopped them into small pieces, and decided to bake some muffins—without much expectation. But as the scent of warm batter mixed with the sweet-tart aroma of fruit began to fill the kitchen, I realized something simple yet beautiful: that morning suddenly felt brighter.

Raisin and Ginger Cupcakes
Welcome back to my recipes. If you'd like an overview of them then simply go to my profile and click on 'Feast'. Anything published in the last 1-2 months is part of the autumnal baking series I'm doing. As you know, I'm personally not a huge fan of cake and biscuits, but when I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed or a bit sad, it gets me up and doing something that isn't on my laptop. It's also close to Halloween which means of course I was making myself feel better by watching The Texas Chainsaw Massacre last night. Yes, it was the original one. I'm quite excited for Halloween. As you can see I've also been making my soups and I will be continuing with some of those later on.

How Long Does Flour Last in Mylar Bags – Safety First
Flour is one of the most essential ingredients in every kitchen, but it doesn’t stay fresh forever. When stored improperly, it can spoil quickly due to moisture, pests, or exposure to air. That’s where Mylar bags come in — a reliable solution for long-term flour storage. These specialized bags block out air, light, and insects, dramatically extending the shelf life of flour compared to regular packaging.

Easy Sourdough Bread Recipe for Beginners
The first time I baked sourdough, I thought I’d ruined it. The dough felt too sticky, the timing made no sense, and my kitchen looked like a flour explosion. But when I pulled that first golden loaf from the oven, I understood why people fall in love with the process.

Candy Recipes Homemade: How to Make the Perfect Fudge at Home
I can still remember the very first time I made homemade fudge. It was a chilly December afternoon, the house smelled of pine from the Christmas tree, and my kitchen quickly filled with the rich aroma of melting chocolate. What began as a simple attempt to make edible gifts for friends turned into a tradition I’ve cherished ever since. That’s the magic of candy recipes homemade—they’re more than sugar and chocolate; they’re little bites of memory, nostalgia, and joy.

Mince Pies
You'd probably think it is easy to make mince pies and so, you'd be right. However, as we all know, I like to add my own flavours in and so, it becomes a very different affair (and also a little bit more difficult than I had initially planned). I am aware of the fact that mince pies are Christmas bakes and not necessarily Halloween bakes but I genuinely wanted to make my mother some mince pies because I don't want her eating the Mr. Kipling ones because a) they are coated in sugar and b) she has a heart condition and that can't be good.
